Short biography

I am Meryem Tanarhte, a professor and scientist working at the University Hassan II- Casablanca in Morocco. My research focuses on climate science, drought, water resources management and air quality.

I use observations, and climate models to understand the feedbacks between the hydrological cycle and the Earth System, globally and regionally over North Africa.

I have participated as a contributing author on the Sixth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (Working Groups II - Africa Chapter) and the MedECC (First Mediterranean Assessment Report).

I teach Climatology, hydrogeology and Air Pollution to master students and engineer students at the Faculté des Sciences et Techniques in Mohammedia - Morocco.
